Frequently asked questions

How many parts does the Florida CNA exam have?expand_more
Two. You must pass a written (knowledge) test and a hands-on clinical skills demonstration. Both are administered by Prometric, and you have to pass both to be certified.
How many questions are on the Florida CNA written test?expand_more
The written knowledge test has 60 multiple-choice questions — 50 that count toward your score plus 10 unscored pretest questions — with a 90-minute time limit, taken on a computer at a Prometric test center.
What score do I need to pass?expand_more
The Florida CNA exam is scored against a scaled passing standard set by the state, not a fixed classroom percentage, so there is no single "X%" to memorize. In practice, consistently scoring around 80% on our timed simulation puts you in a comfortable position before test day.
